Role Description The NextEra Energy Transmission (NEET) Operations Emergency Preparedness Manager leads wildfire mitigation strategy and advances enterprise-wide emergency preparedness across all NEET Operating Companies (OPCos). This role is responsible for: - Developing and executing mitigation plans - Strengthening organizational readiness - Coordinating cross-functional response efforts - Driving continuous improvement across NEET’s Transmission and Substation (T&S) Operations for wildfire and other emergency events The position ensures a consistent, proactive approach to: - Risk reduction - System resilience - Event response, supporting the reliable and compliant operation of NEET’s T&S assets Responsibilities extend beyond wildfire mitigation to include preparedness and response for events such as: - Winter storms - Tornadoes - Flooding - Hurricanes The manager provides real-time event support, implements situational awareness tools, and leverages data-driven insights to enhance operational readiness across the organization. This role interfaces regularly with senior leadership across NEET and FPL, providing updates on: - Mitigation strategies - Program performance - Emerging risks Position is based in Florida but eligible for remote work from approved locations. This position requires approximately 20–30% travel to support field-based mitigation activities, industry engagement, situational awareness, team collaboration, and emergency preparedness initiatives across NEET’s growing North American portfolio.
