Job Description

Public Sector Solutions Supervisor

• Responsible for management of deliverables for accounting clients • Regularly meets with Rehmann staff and client employees to determine the client’s needs and objectives and works with clients to implement any changes necessary to help them achieve their goals • Preplans engagement relative to the size & complexity of the client • Develops and supports appropriate procedures to address specific identified risks and/or client needs • Ensures that any questions from client or team are resolved • Completes project documentation requirements; ensures that electronic files are locked down or backed up and retained in accordance with firm policy • Assists clients in taking their own digital transformation by introducing new technologies to create efficiencies • Reviews all grand and vendor contracts to ensure proper billing/accounting • Directs work of assigned associates • Plans and organizes client assignments • Directs and monitors the work of associates including accuracy and completeness of monthly reporting • Reviews the work performed by others for completeness and accuracy in accordance with plan • Provides input into associate performance appraisals ensuring guidance on the associate’s growth and development • Adheres to internal controls and ensures policies are followed • Facilitates budget to actual discussions • Maintains knowledge of client policies, procedures, and business conditions • Knows the clients’ significant business risks (e.g., economic, market, pricing) • Is aware of external factors affecting the clients’ business and industry (e.g., economic, legislative, social) • Maintains client relationships while taking an active role in marketing initiatives • Be proactive in providing thought leadership ideas to clients • Actively participate in at least one community organization to begin growing professional network • Attends networking events, performs community service, and develop a presence in the community

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Demonstrates understanding of key ratios and statistics for clients and their industries
  • Able to use Microsoft Word sufficiently to prepare correspondence and basic reports with proper formatting using Rehmann styles
  • Able to use Microsoft Excel sufficiently to create tables and exhibits in support of analyzes, using formulas and appropriate formats
  • Proficient in use of Rehmann technology, including Engagement, as well as any other software used by the practice
  • Demonstrates growing level of ability to identify potential issues for further review
  • Proactively seeks out development opportunities, focusing on self-identified strengths and weaknesses
