• Lead the implementation of GBE-N’s external sustainability and social value strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, stakeholder expectations, and global best practices. • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key external stakeholders including clients, regulators, industry bodies, community groups, and NGOs. • Monitor and interpret emerging regulatory, market, and societal trends, advising senior leadership on risks, opportunities, and strategic positioning. • Drive the integration of sustainability and social value into corporate strategy, procurement, and business development activities. • Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives, including consultations, partnerships, and co-creation of programmes that deliver value. • Oversee the development of strategic frameworks and policies that support long-term sustainability and social value goals. • Ensure GBE-N’s sustainability and social value performance is benchmarked and externally validated, identifying opportunities for recognition and improvement. • Support the development of thought leadership content, including white papers, case studies, and impact stories that showcase GBE-N’s achievements. • Provide strategic input into tenders and act as an SME for sustainability and social value including development of relevant procurement processes and procedures. • Prepare and present high-quality reports for internal and external audiences, including annual sustainability reports and regulatory submissions.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in sustainability management, environmental policy, social value initiatives, or external reporting roles with a track record of successful programme development and implementation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex sustainability challenges and community needs and develop effective solutions through critical thinking and creativity.
- Demonstrated accountability in managing projects, delivering measurable results, and communicating outcomes effectively to various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in sustainability reporting/social value measurement tools, data analysis software, and project management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Sciences or a related field, or demonstrable experience in sustainability management, ESG reporting, environmental policy or social value initiatives.
