Role Description Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Vice President, Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory and Compliance (“AGC”) will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving a risk-based global compliance program that aligns with the Company’s business strategy and values. As a key member of the legal leadership team, the AGC will work closely with the CLO, other senior executives, and cross-functional partners to integrate compliance into all aspects of Revance’s operations and also manage a small compliance team. The AGC will manage compliance on a global basis for Revance’s pharmaceutical and medical device products, ensuring that sales, marketing, medical affairs, and clinical activities adhere to applicable laws, industry codes, and internal policies. The role involves both high-level strategy and hands-on operational execution. Key Responsibilities - Leadership of Compliance Program: - Develop, implement, and continually enhance Revance’s global compliance and ethics program. - Identify, prevent, and manage compliance risks across all business units (aesthetics, therapeutics, and consumer skincare). - Regulatory & Healthcare Compliance Oversight: - Oversee compliance with all relevant healthcare laws and regulations. - Serve as the Company’s expert on FDA advertising and promotion regulations. - Provide guidance on appropriate interactions with healthcare professionals and patients. - Policy Development & Training: - Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and SOPs covering key risk areas. - Implement effective training and communication strategies to educate employees on compliance obligations. - Monitoring & Risk Assessment: - Conduct regular compliance risk assessments to identify emerging risks. - Develop and execute monitoring and auditing plans focused on high-risk activities. - Report findings and trends to senior management along with actionable recommendations. - Advisory & Business Partnership: - Act as primary compliance advisor to business teams and leadership. - Provide timely, solutions-oriented guidance on strategic initiatives. - Investigations & Enforcement: - Develop and implement processes for receiving, investigating, and resolving reports of potential misconduct. - Manage Revance’s confidential reporting hotline. - Third-Party & International Compliance: - Implement and supervise controls for third parties and international operations. - Collaborate with internal business stakeholders to monitor third-party partner compliance. - Regulatory Developments & Response: - Monitor relevant regulatory and enforcement trends that could impact Revance’s operations. - Proactively update policies and training to address changes in the legal landscape. Qualifications - J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school. - Admitted to practice law in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. - 10-15+ years of progressive experience in legal, compliance, regulatory, and/or risk management roles. - Prior experience in a compliance leadership role. - Expert knowledge of healthcare and FDA regulatory compliance required. - Expertise in reviewing and advising on marketing materials. - Demonstrated success in building and enhancing compliance programs. - Leadership and influence skills. - Excellent communication and training abilities. - Strong writing skills for providing clear risk analysis and legal advice. - Dynamic presenter capable of engaging employees in training sessions.
