Vice President - General Manager

Role Description - Leads the overall business strategy and execution for the country, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and market opportunities. - Owns country-level business performance, including operational effectiveness, and achievement of strategic priorities. - Directs and integrates the work of multiple functions within the country, which may include sales, operations, customer success, or other local business functions. - Ensures effective governance, compliance, and risk management across the country, including adherence to local laws, company policies, and ethical business practices. - Builds strong cross-functional partnerships with regional and global leaders to align investments, resources, and operating plans in support of country objectives. - Drives organizational effectiveness by setting priorities, clarifying accountability, and fostering collaboration across functions in a matrixed environment. - Leads change, transformation, or expansion initiatives within the country to improve business performance, customer outcomes, and organizational capability. - Champions a high-performance, inclusive culture that reflects company values and supports employee engagement, leadership development, and talent retention. - Provides executive leadership to the in-country organization across multiple functions, including direct leadership of senior functional leaders and/or country leadership team members. - Oversees hiring, coaching, performance management, and development of leaders and teams within the country. - Allocates resources and prioritizes investments to support business goals and evolving market needs. - Establishes clear performance expectations and accountability mechanisms to drive execution and results. Benefits - Annual Salary Range: ₹5,855,700.00 - ₹7,604,800.00 - Pay Basis: Monthly - The expected base salary range for this role varies by location and is expressed in local currency. - The posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for successful candidates at the time of hire, based on relevant job‑related skills, experience, geographic location, and business needs. - Base pay offered to new hires may vary within the posted range depending on individual qualifications and market considerations. - The posted salary range reflects compensation at the time of hire. - Employees may experience additional compensation growth over time through performance‑based increases, expanded responsibilities, role progression, or internal career opportunities, in accordance with company policies and local practices. - In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for other elements of Vertex’s total compensation package, which may include participation in the Vertex Bonus Plan (VOB), a role‑specific sales commission or bonus, and/or equity grants, where applicable. - In all cases, compensation will comply with applicable local pay transparency and minimum wage requirements.
