Role Description The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a VP, Program Development, Quality Healthcare, Global Certification! This position can be home-based, but you must live near a major airport. Responsibilities include: - Leading a department that evaluates, develops, and commercializes medical/scientific programs and products. - Coordinating the full lifecycle of program initiatives from concept through market introduction, ensuring alignment with American Heart Association scientific principles and guidelines. - Partnering with Science & Medicine teams and scientific committees to translate research into marketable offerings that drive revenue growth and meet customer needs. - Owning and implementing the global growth and business development strategy, driving revenue expansion, market penetration, and strategic partnerships across priority geographies. - Leading and scaling a high-performing, globally distributed business development organization. - Evaluating, approving, and developing new program ideas, product improvements, and strategic extensions that improve healthcare quality. - Ensuring American Heart Association research findings and scientific principles are effectively integrated into market-ready programs. - Supervising all phases of the program lifecycle, from inception to market launch. - Partnering with internal and external teams to establish product specifications and align program goals with business strategies. - Assessing program feasibility, market demand, and competitive positioning. - Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing outcomes, and implementing enhancements to optimize healthcare programs. Qualifications - Advanced degree in Health Care and/or Business. - Eight (8) years of experience and five (5) years of supervisory experience. - Demonstrated leadership in global healthcare business development. - Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, and written). - Ability to work, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. - Knowledge/experience in Cardiac, Stroke, Resuscitation, Atrial Fibrillation, Acute MI care. - Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally. Requirements - Twelve (12) years of experience preferred.
