You'll work directly with our founders and People leadership to bring our culture to life through internal events, signature programs, and the everyday moments that make BioRender, BioRender. This role is highly cross-functional and highly visible. You won't be writing the cultural strategy in a vacuum: that comes from our founders and the leadership team in close partnership with you. What you will own is turning that vision into reality across a fast-growing, remote first, distributed team. This is a remote-first role within Canada, with regular travel to support company events and team offsites. What you'll do - Own internal events end-to-end: - Summer Synergy, team on-sites, local meetups, and recurring virtual programming (Big Donuts, lunch & learns, happy hours, socials) - Run our core culture programs: - tenure and life-gifting, Value Awards, and the rituals that recognize our people - Partner with managers: - own our manager culture training, helping new and existing managers role-model our values and use the tools available to lead their teams well - Measure what's working: - track engagement, gather feedback, and use it to prioritize what we do more (or less) of - Partner across the business: - collaborate with the founders, People team, and Office & Events team to keep the experience consistent and high-quality across everything we ship - Own our swag program: - shape BioRender's branded merch program in close in partnership with the founders Qualifications - Exceptional program manager/operator: You can run multiple programs in parallel, sweat the details, ship on time and use AI to streamline the work. - Events experience: You've planned and executed memorable events in a startup, agency, or hospitality environment. - Culture-first instincts: You care deeply about employee experience. You have great taste, high empathy, and the ability to read a room. - Strong stakeholder management: You are comfortable working directly with founders and executives - managing up, pushing back when needed, and earning trust quickly. - High resilience and comfort with ambiguity: You stay grounded when priorities shift. - Willingness to do the work: You're experienced enough to shape ideas but happy to roll up your sleeves on execution. Benefits - Opportunity to shape the culture of a company that genuinely invests in it. We're generous with our culture budget and care deeply about getting it right. - Work directly with founders and senior leadership who treat culture as core to the business, not a side project. - Real ownership: once we align on direction, you have the autonomy to run with execution. - Help build an employee experience that lets some of the most talented people in science communication do their best work. Company Description - We are mission-driven: we work collaboratively towards our shared vision of improving scientific communication and accelerating scientific discovery.
