Role Description This role can be located in the Caribbean Banking Market or in Canada where the successful candidate resides. In this role, you will work with the Director, Global Procurement, conduct sourcing activities for PB&CB - Caribbean Banking which influence strategic decision making and drive cost efficiencies. This role gathers and analyzes data and business requirements; manages the RFx process; and prepares findings for Caribbean Executive & Senior Management. This role also develops and negotiates contract strategies which provide cost effective, sustainable solutions to RBC's business and optimizes total value generated from RBC's supplier database. What will you do? - Develop sourcing strategies and help align procurement activity to the organization’s procurement and business objectives by using industry analysis, business knowledge, competitive analysis, and sourcing expertise. - Use spend information and category metrics to influence business groups to address key opportunities. - Balance cost and complexity to identify and analyze strategic issues, business unit opportunities, service levels, and consolidate critical and non-critical requirements across different suppliers. - Evaluate supplier proposals by interpreting and analyzing proposals against business requirements to recommend the best fit supplier to Director, Global Procurement and/or Caribbean Executive/Senior Management. - Create a robust and effective negotiation strategy in alignment with RBC's business needs, with a view to achieving cost effective pricing and other risk-based terms and conditions that protect RBC's interests. - Prepare and draft contract terms, working with the Law Unit and Centres of Governance to ensure all terms are compliant and meet business requirements. - Working with the Director, Global Procurement, leads the negotiation process from preparation through to execution for assigned contracts. - Build effective and strong relationships with key internal partners and stakeholders by understanding needs and dynamics across stakeholder groups, decision makers, and influencers. - Influence and lead key internal sponsors and stakeholders through the sourcing process, to gain buy-in, overcome challenges and deliver on high priority, high-risk, complex initiatives. - Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key suppliers, negotiating pricing and/or quality of service while minimizing risk. - Manage the end-to-end RFx process in compliance with all governance requirements. - Manage procurement policies, processes, and procedures to ensure the supplies of quality goods are acquired efficiently, on time, and at a reasonable cost.
