This role functions within the Health Informatics team, partnering with nursing, clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to optimize the use of the electronic health record (Oracle Health) in support of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. - Consistent with the Senior Clinical Informaticist role, this position applies clinical informatics expertise, workflow design, and system optimization to improve clinical practice, support end users, and advance organizational priorities. - This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of 40-60% on-site presence (Central Region hospital or clinic settings), balanced with remote work. On-site support may vary based on project work, go-live activities, and operational or customer needs. - While this role is aligned to and primarily supports the Central Region, all Clinical Informaticists contribute to system-wide initiatives and are expected to design workflows that are scalable, standardized, and applicable across Munson Healthcare. What You'll Focus On While operating within the broader Clinical Informatics role, this position will have a primary area of focus supporting nursing workflows across the continuum, including: - Supporting optimization of nursing workflows across inpatient, ambulatory, procedural, and care transition settings - Partnering with nursing leadership and frontline staff to translate care delivery needs into EHR workflow design and system solutions - Advancing initiatives that improve documentation efficiency, care team communication, and workflow standardization - Ensuring alignment across workflows impacting clinical documentation, orders, care coordination, and downstream processes - Providing at-the-elbow support, rounding, and real-time issue resolution to strengthen adoption and trust - Identifying opportunities to enhance workflow integration, usability, and care team experience - Supporting workflows that are standardized and scalable across regions, ensuring alignment with system-wide design and governance Core Responsibilities - Serve as an informatics liaison between clinical end users, operational leaders, and Information Systems - Analyze, design, configure, test, and support clinical information systems and workflows - Act as a consultant for process redesign and workflow improvement initiatives - Support project implementation, change management, and user adoption - Identify, triage, and coordinate resolution of system and workflow issues - Participate in governance, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration efforts - Perform rounding and engagement with nursing and clinical teams to maintain strong communication and alignment (Responsibilities reflect the standard Senior Clinical Informaticist scope at Munson Healthcare.) What's Required - Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field. - A minimum of 3 years experience in a licensed or certified healthcare professional role or a minimum of 2 years in the role of Clinical Informaticist at a MHC facility with demonstrated ability to successfully understand and interact in the clinical environment per defined criteria. - Experience with the Electronic Health Record and Clinical Provider Order Entry (CPOE) required. - Schedule flexibility is required to accommodate customer needs Preferred - Clinical background with strong experience in nursing practice or nursing operations workflows - Experience supporting inpatient and/or ambulatory nursing workflows within an EHR environment - Familiarity with Oracle Health (Cerner) or similar EHR platforms, including workflow optimization - Demonstrated ability to analyze workflows, document current and future states, and lead process improvement efforts - Experience supporting clinical documentation optimization, care coordination workflows, and interdisciplinary care teams - Strong collaboration skills with the ability to engage frontline staff, leaders, and cross-functional partners - Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clinical and operational language
