Job Description

Education Manager

Compass Health Center

• Provide direct leadership and supervision for Education Specialists across multiple sites • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings to support employee development, coaching, and performance • Lead onboarding and training of new Education Specialists in partnership with the Education Center of Excellence • Support the implementation of standardized education practices and key organizational initiatives • Assign, monitor, and balance Education Specialist caseloads • Carry an individual patient caseload as needed • Provide consultation and oversight on complex education cases • Lead weekly and/or bi-weekly Education team meetings • Partner with site leadership by participating in leadership huddles, daily rounds, and interdisciplinary collaboration • Support Academic & Skills Integration and Therapeutic Resource Hour programming • Provide LBS1 supervision for Illinois Virtual Program staff and assist with Virtual Academic Skills Integration coverage as needed • Coordinate tutoring services, when applicable • Partner closely with the Education Center of Excellence to support department goals and initiatives • Collaborate with the Billing team to resolve education-related billing questions and ensure appropriate documentation • Support billing oversight and education department operational processes • Assist with key initiative projects and other priorities as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education or a related field (highly preferred)
  • Active LBS1 teaching license required
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral health needs
  • Strong knowledge of public school systems, special education processes, IEPs, and educational accommodations
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Passion for supporting children, adolescents, and families through behavioral healthcare.

Collaborate with internal teams such as development, engineering, construction management, as well as external teams like environmental consultants and legal counsel.
