Technical Manager

Avery Dennison

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of DevOps engineers • Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions • Drive the adoption and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates • Implement and enforce security best practices within the CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration throughout the software development lifecycle • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline routine tasks • Act as a subject matter expert, providing advanced troubleshooting for complex issues

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical lead or senior-level capacity, providing technical direction and mentorship
  • In-depth, hands-on experience with Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL/Cosmos DB
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform and/or ARM
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience with CI/CD concepts and tools
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (AKS)
  • Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Expert-level knowledge of Git and repository management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership and mentorship abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
