Job Description

Head of Technical Accounting – Financial Governance

Acumatica

• Lead Accounting Governance • Serve as the company’s primary authority on accounting policies, technical accounting matters and governance frameworks • Evaluate complex transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment • Advise executive leadership on accounting implications of strategic initiatives • Drive annual audits process and transaction-related review • Lead technical accounting discussions with external auditors • Prepare accounting position papers and technical memoranda • Drive Acquisition Accounting • Partner with Corporate Development, Finance Transformation, and Accounting teams • Support accounting diligence efforts • Assess accounting and reporting risks • Lead purchase accounting activities • Coordinate valuation specialists and external advisors • Establish opening balance sheets • Guide accounting integration decisions • Lead Tax Governance and Treasury Oversight • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and serve as internal owner for tax governance, planning and audit support • Oversee liquidity management and cash governance • Manage banking relationships • Support debt covenant compliance • Review cash forecasting and liquidity planning • Partner on financing activities and lender reporting

Job Requirements

  • CPA designation
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in a senior leadership role with a public company or a late-stage PE-backed private company
  • Mix of Big-4 or equivalent global audit firm and corporate accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP with significant experience with ASC 606 and ASC 805
  • SaaS or subscription business experience
  • Experience supporting acquisitions and business integrations
