Role Description Civil Science is looking for a driven and strategic Transportation Design Division Manager to lead and grow our transportation design practice in North Dakota. What You’ll Get to Do: - Lead and manage the Transportation Design Division, including project managers and design staff - Oversee multiple transportation design projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget performance - Serve as a senior client contact for transportation-related work - Support and drive business development efforts, including client relationships and pursuits - Collaborate with leadership to grow the transportation division and expand market presence - Mentor and develop staff, fostering a strong team culture and technical excellence - Ensure consistent application of QA/QC processes and high-quality project delivery - Balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in project oversight Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required - Professional Engineer (PE) license for North Dakota required - 10+ years of experience in transportation design or related infrastructure - Experience managing teams and leading complex projects - Strong understanding of project management principles (budgeting, scheduling, QA/QC) - Experience working with NDDOT and/or public agency clients - Proficiency in relevant design and production tools Requirements - Strong leadership and division management experience - Proven ability to oversee multiple projects and lead project managers - Experience in transportation design and infrastructure projects - Ability to balance technical work with operational and strategic responsibilities - Strong client relationship and business development skills - Excellent communication, mentoring, and team-building abilities - Demonstrated ability to drive quality and consistency across projects Benefits - Ownership in Your Future: At Civil Science, we’re proud to be a 100% employee-owned firm.
