Role Description The Structural Engineer position is part of the Industrial Crane and product engineering team, and your role will be the structural design and support of crane runway systems. This will primarily be engineering of crane runway systems but can also include generating the detailed design drawings when needed. It is also expected that as an engineering resource you will support the team as an expert for structural related topics that come up during the quoting and selling phase, or at site during installation and commissioning. You will report to the Industrial Crane and Product Engineering Manager. You Will: - Perform engineering calculations to compute the stresses developed in a crane runway structure. Knowledge of different static, dynamic and fatigue failure theories based on stress life approach is required to compute the allowable stresses according to applicable industry standards. - Evaluate the static/dynamic strength and fatigue life of structural steel runway structures for the United States and Canada. - Use of RISA 3D, vendor software, KC Developed Programs and other in-house built analytical tools to perform and present structural calculations of runway structures conforming to the specifications of AISC/ASCE/CSA/CMAA. The ability to perform calculations is necessary to validate a calculation using a secondary/independent method of analysis. - Knowledge on ASCE, IBC codes is a must, including seismic conditions. - Support customers and team members as an expert when troubleshooting issues that arise onsite during installation, commissioning or the warranty period of a project. - Occasionally support sales and offer support during the quotation phase of complex projects to provide guidance on design options during the quotation stage. - Participate in continuous improvement efforts. - The entire purchasing experience of our customers can set us apart in the industry; either positively or negatively. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. - EIT certification, with plans or desire to obtain a PE license. - 3-5 years of related industry experience. - Knowledge of ASCE, IBE codes and seismic conditions. - Knowledge of AISC/CSA and CMAA is considered an asset. - Experience in both Microsoft Excel (can perform complex functions) and CAD programs. - Experience with electric overhead traveling (EOT) cranes is an asset but not required. You will be responsible for designing and coordinating infrastructure schemes, supporting planning and construction stages, and working closely with clients, architects, developers, and other consultants to deliver practical and compliant engineering solutions. You will have strong experience in residential developments, including highways, drainage, and infrastructure design, and be comfortable managing projects independently in a remote working environment. • Senior Engineer will be the engineering lead on multi-discipline projects and interact directly with our clients. • Coordinate with the hydrology, geotechnical, structural and structural engineering teams. • This role leads technical resources for the civil engineering organization and is involved with many projects and clients on a high-level and mentors project engineers. • The role requires strong technical skills in Civil Engineering design including grading, drainage, erosion and sedimentation control, stormwater management and SWPP calculations and reports. • Provide technical leadership for staff that utilize Civil 3D including alignments, profiles, and grading features to produce engineered construction plans. • Review and supervise calculations performed by others to ensure quality standards are met to stamp construction drawings and reports. • Oversees financials at a project level and completes proposals for PV, BESS, HV, Wind projects. • Assign tasks to direct reports consisting of junior engineering staff for Renewables projects. • Provide construction support to our clients.

• Administer a bridge replacement project for the Onondaga County Department of Transportation. • Conduct construction field inspections and apply knowledge to various construction activities. • Interpret contract plans and specifications. • Maintain project record keeping and reporting. • Start construction work in early July 2026 with completion in November 2026.
