Role Description We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with residential design experience to join this growing team. This is a fully-remote opportunity for a motivated and technically capable engineer who can deliver high-quality civil engineering solutions for residential developments across the UK. You will be responsible for designing and coordinating infrastructure schemes, supporting planning and construction stages, and working closely with clients, architects, developers, and other consultants to deliver practical and compliant engineering solutions. You will have strong experience in residential developments, including highways, drainage, and infrastructure design, and be comfortable managing projects independently in a remote working environment. • Senior Engineer will be the engineering lead on multi-discipline projects and interact directly with our clients. • Coordinate with the hydrology, geotechnical, structural and structural engineering teams. • This role leads technical resources for the civil engineering organization and is involved with many projects and clients on a high-level and mentors project engineers. • The role requires strong technical skills in Civil Engineering design including grading, drainage, erosion and sedimentation control, stormwater management and SWPP calculations and reports. • Provide technical leadership for staff that utilize Civil 3D including alignments, profiles, and grading features to produce engineered construction plans. • Review and supervise calculations performed by others to ensure quality standards are met to stamp construction drawings and reports. • Oversees financials at a project level and completes proposals for PV, BESS, HV, Wind projects. • Assign tasks to direct reports consisting of junior engineering staff for Renewables projects. • Provide construction support to our clients.

• Administer a bridge replacement project for the Onondaga County Department of Transportation. • Conduct construction field inspections and apply knowledge to various construction activities. • Interpret contract plans and specifications. • Maintain project record keeping and reporting. • Start construction work in early July 2026 with completion in November 2026.

Requirements - 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful ownership of production web applications. - 5+ years of hands-on Python backend development in production or production-like systems. - 5+ years working with React and TypeScript, or enough practical experience to maintain and extend a mature React SPA. - Demonstrated experience building API-driven systems with authentication, data persistence, testing, and operational support. - Prior enterprise or public-sector experience is helpful, especially where security, accessibility, documentation, and change control are important. - 2+ years providing technical leadership, mentoring, code review, or delivery guidance is preferred.
