• Senior Engineer will be the engineering lead on multi-discipline projects and interact directly with our clients. • Coordinate with the hydrology, geotechnical, structural and structural engineering teams. • This role leads technical resources for the civil engineering organization and is involved with many projects and clients on a high-level and mentors project engineers. • The role requires strong technical skills in Civil Engineering design including grading, drainage, erosion and sedimentation control, stormwater management and SWPP calculations and reports. • Provide technical leadership for staff that utilize Civil 3D including alignments, profiles, and grading features to produce engineered construction plans. • Review and supervise calculations performed by others to ensure quality standards are met to stamp construction drawings and reports. • Oversees financials at a project level and completes proposals for PV, BESS, HV, Wind projects. • Assign tasks to direct reports consisting of junior engineering staff for Renewables projects. • Provide construction support to our clients.

• Administer a bridge replacement project for the Onondaga County Department of Transportation. • Conduct construction field inspections and apply knowledge to various construction activities. • Interpret contract plans and specifications. • Maintain project record keeping and reporting. • Start construction work in early July 2026 with completion in November 2026.

Requirements - 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful ownership of production web applications. - 5+ years of hands-on Python backend development in production or production-like systems. - 5+ years working with React and TypeScript, or enough practical experience to maintain and extend a mature React SPA. - Demonstrated experience building API-driven systems with authentication, data persistence, testing, and operational support. - Prior enterprise or public-sector experience is helpful, especially where security, accessibility, documentation, and change control are important. - 2+ years providing technical leadership, mentoring, code review, or delivery guidance is preferred. What we're looking for - 2-5 years' post-graduate experience in civil/site infrastructure design. - Exposure to applying Austroads and local council/authority requirements (or a willingness to learn quickly). - Developing competency in stormwater (pit and pipe) and familiarity with earthworks and basic water/wastewater design tasks. - Interest in WSUD principles and how they integrate with stormwater solutions (a plus). - Any exposure to Department of Defence projects is highly regarded, but not essential. - Process-driven and detail-oriented, with a clear focus on quality, checking and well-structured deliverables. - A collaborative mindset, comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and asking the right questions early.
