ERP Functional Lead - OTC UCAN

Role Description We are seeking a skilled IT Functional Lead with deep expertise in JD Edwards to oversee and manage the Order-to-Cash (O2C) and invoicing processes within our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ERP systems, particularly JD Edwards, and will be responsible for driving system enhancements, troubleshooting, and providing functional support to optimize order management and invoicing workflows. The IT Functional Lead will also collaborate closely with third-party support and delivery teams to ensure effective and efficient solutions are implemented. Vantive is a recent divestiture of a larger company. The ERP Functional Order and Invoicing Lead will be responsible for gathering, documenting, understanding, and in some cases, reverse-engineering the previous owner’s systems and processes. The candidate will play a key role in cloning the current applications to stand up a new technology landscape which allows Vantive to operate separately from the previous owner’s systems and exit from the Transition Services Agreements (TSA). What You’ll Be Doing - Lead the functional design, configuration, and implementation of JD Edwards ERP system for Order Management and Invoicing modules. - Ensure communication with other regions to create harmonized solutions globally. - Participate in the prioritization of backlog to drive continuous agile delivery through product teams. - Actively participate in the process of cloning existing applications to bring them in-house and take ownership of them for long-term improvement. - Play a critical role in continuous improvement initiatives by utilizing cloned applications to develop more efficient, scalable, and adaptable solutions. - Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system solutions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, finance, operations, etc.) to ensure smooth integration of the Order-to-Cash process and invoicing processes within JD Edwards. - Partner with third-party support and delivery teams to manage and resolve any issues related to JD Edwards applications. - Configure and support JD Edwards Order Management and Invoicing modules, ensuring business needs are met and processes are streamlined. - Identify areas for process improvement, optimize current workflows, and recommend best practices for order processing and invoicing within the ERP system. - Manage system upgrades and enhancements related to the Order Management and Invoicing functions in JD Edwards. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. - Develop reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to monitor key performance indicators related to order management and invoicing. - Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure that project goals and timelines are met while maintaining high-quality standards. - Experience in working on end-to-end implementation and upgrade projects in Order Management modules. - Collaborate with technical team for development and unit testing Order Management integration with 3rd party systems and EDI processing configurations. - Drive User acceptance testing and user training sessions. - Support the users during post go-live hyper-care. - Create POCs and Solution Demo wherever applicable. - Analyze business processes, identify redundant/non-conforming business processes and establish process change/simplify processes as per standard best practices. - Assist support team/ARO for any recurring issues, performance issues and provide problem management and change management support. - Create and update KEDB and knowledge articles. - Create various documentations like SMTDs/solution documents, design specifications, SOPs, Gap-analysis documents, User manuals, Job Aids. - Comply with training requirements, abide to GIT security, and related standards. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience working with JD Edwards ERP, specifically in Order Management, Invoicing, and related modules. - Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash processes and best practices, with hands-on experience in system configuration and support. - Proven ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot JD Edwards systems and integrations related to Order and Invoicing workflows. - Experience with JD Edwards 9.2 or later versions is highly preferred. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies. - Experience in working with third-party support and delivery teams to drive solutions and ensure timely project delivery. - Project management experience is a plus, especially in leading ERP implementations or upgrades. - Experience in cloning and owning applications is a plus, especially in the context of improving operational efficiency. - Knowledge of financial processes, including accounts receivable and invoicing, is highly desirable. - Open to applicants across the country, this is a remote position.
