Role Description The Senior Director, Workforce Strategy & Performance serves as a senior strategic advisor to operational and executive leaders, driving organizational performance through workforce strategy, leadership effectiveness, retention, culture activation, organizational effectiveness, and change leadership. This role leads the Workforce Strategy & Performance team and is accountable for aligning workforce initiatives with business objectives to improve organizational health, employee experience, leadership capability, and operational performance. Unlike traditional HR Business Partner models, this role operates as a strategic consultant and business leader focused on measurable outcomes rather than transactional HR support. The Senior Director partners with leaders to identify organizational opportunities and risks, accelerate decision-making, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and implement workforce strategies that drive sustainable business results. The Senior Director is responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of Workforce Strategy & Performance leaders who serve as trusted advisors to the business and catalysts for organizational success. Responsibilities - Workforce Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute workforce plans, including succession planning, talent pipeline development, and organizational design. Use data and analytics to anticipate needs and mitigate risk. - Leadership Effectiveness: Coach and advise senior leaders to improve performance, accountability, and team outcomes. - Retention & Organizational Health: Lead retention initiatives, analyze turnover trends, and implement strategies to strengthen engagement and culture. - Organizational Effectiveness: Drive improvements in team performance, structure, and productivity through targeted interventions and workforce insights. - Culture & Employee Experience: Champion a high-performing, inclusive culture aligned with company values. - Change Leadership: Lead transformation initiatives, including reorganizations and strategic change efforts, ensuring successful adoption and minimal disruption. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and business leaders to deliver integrated workforce solutions. - Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing Workforce Strategy & Performance team focused on driving measurable business impact. Performance Expectations The Senior Director, Workforce Strategy & Performance is accountable for enterprise workforce outcomes and organizational performance. Success is measured through the ability to: - Improve leadership effectiveness across the organization. - Strengthen organizational health and workforce stability. - Drive measurable retention and engagement improvements. - Improve workforce productivity and operational effectiveness. - Accelerate adoption of organizational change and transformation initiatives. - Improve succession readiness and leadership pipeline strength. - Influence executive decision-making through workforce intelligence and strategic consultation. - Strengthen culture and employee experience outcomes. - Reduce organizational friction and improve execution. - Achieve strategic business objectives through workforce strategy. What Success Is Not The Senior Director is not evaluated on: - Transaction processing - Administrative workload - Case management volume - Policy interpretation alone - HR activity measures that do not influence business outcomes - Tactical HR support functions owned by Shared Services or Centers of Excellence The Senior Director is evaluated on organizational impact, workforce outcomes, leadership capability, culture strength, decision quality, operational effectiveness, and achievement of strategic business objectives. Qualifications - Required: - Bachelor's degree required. - 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, Workforce Strategy, Talent Management, or related disciplines. - 5+ years leading teams supporting multi-site operations. - Demonstrated success influencing executive and operational leadership. - Experience leading organizational change, transformation, and workforce initiatives. - Strong business acumen and analytical capability. - Proven ability to drive measurable organizational outcomes through leadership influence and strategic workforce solutions. - Preferred: - Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field. - Healthcare, retail, hospitality, service, or other multi-site operational experience. - Experience supporting high-growth organizations, integrations, or large-scale transformations.
