Role Description The Director - Industrial Sales is responsible for driving revenue and expanding market share by promoting and selling the manufacturer’s heavy-duty plumbing products, pipes, valves, fittings (PVF), and wholesale distributors in the industrial trade. The role involves high-level technical consultation, relationship management, and strategic contract negotiation. This senior-level role requires a highly motivated sales professional with strong industrial sales experience, technical aptitude, and the ability to build long-term partnerships across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of industrial and commercial plumbing systems, construction project cycles, and distributor relationships within the PVF and industrial supply markets. What You'll Do: - Sales Growth within Industrial Channel - Expand market share through new account acquisition and growth within existing customer relationships. - Drive specification opportunities with contractors, engineers, plant managers, and industrial end users. - Collaborate with leadership to identify long-term growth opportunities and strategic vertical markets. - Build relationships with decision-makers across industrial, manufacturing, commercial construction, and distribution channels. - Maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry engagement. - Provide technical guidance on PVF products, plumbing systems, and application-specific solutions. - Interpret customer specifications, local and national plumbing codes, and industrial requirements. Qualifications - 7+ years of proven outside sales experience in B2B industrial sales, manufacturing, commercial plumbing, or PVF distribution. - Demonstrated success growing industrial territories and managing strategic customer relationships. - Strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems, valves, fittings, piping applications, and related technical products. Requirements - Experience working with or selling through industrial distributors and organizations. - Experience selling into industrial manufacturing, water treatment, food processing, chemical processing, energy, or commercial construction markets. - Existing relationships within industrial distribution and contractor networks. Smith Water Treatment’s equipment and services • Support existing customers and attract new prospects with on-site technical and resource trainings • Attend and support industry and customer events in your assigned region • Meet sales and expense objectives outlined in the annual budget • Assist with properly applying and trouble-shooting water treatment solutions and provide in-field support when needed • Take part in monthly reviews and planning sessions to gauge progress, overcome challenges and review opportunities • Follow up on leads, inquiries, and customer issues in a timely manner
• Drive new and expansion revenue for F5 Distributed Cloud solutions across named Enterprise accounts • Qualify and manage opportunities using a structured enterprise sales methodology • Proactively advance opportunities by driving next steps, maintaining deal momentum • Own pipeline accuracy and revenue forecasting for assigned opportunities • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and proposals • Lead Distributed Cloud account strategy in partnership with core F5 sellers
