Position Overview: The Marketing Specialist at Ninja will support the Brand Manager in leading execution of marketing strategies and support the development of brand strategy, category assortment and marketing plans to drive program success and high rate of sales. Responsibilities: Working with the Product Development, Creative Services and Marketing Services teams, support and drive the execution of brand building communication strategies and go-to-market plans. Partnering with Category Management, Sales/Retail Marketing, and Product Development to lead category assortment development and validation. Support development of creative briefs and facilitate creative reviews. Manage creative development processes (i.e., timeline, approvals, protocols). Support Brand Manager in execution of all marketing launch assets including storyboards, lifestyle photography, recipe books, packaging, in-store merchandising, Amazon A+ content, and more. Participate on a cross-functional team to develop new products and messaging. Become an expert in the category - understand price, positioning, competitive landscape, and market needs. Translate category insights into marketing actions and track against progress and validation. Analyze key business drivers, competitive trends, direct competitors' success and strategies, marketplace dynamics & consumer need gaps that lead to disruptive, breakthrough new product propositions. Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of the products. Support development of consumer insight testing stimuli across messaging, packaging, digital assets, and in-market materials to enable robust consumer validation throughout the project lifecycle. Key Functional Skills/Knowledge: Strong communication skills and ability to make effective presentations to all levels of management. Ability to manage several projects in parallel, navigating a complex cross-functional matrix. Attention to detail- being able to coordinate all details to ensure accuracy and consistency across all consumer facing materials. Influencing, conflict resolution, and creative problem solving. Highly analytical - comfortable mining and analyzing data and drawing conclusions. Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills. Ability to manage several projects in parallel, navigating a complex cross-functional matrix. Ability to operate with speed in a fast-paced, iterative environment. Project management and ability to prioritize multiple projects at once. Biased toward action. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 0-3 years prior Marketing experience with Branding, and/or Category Management experience preferred.
- CPG experience preferred.
- Prior experience leveraging consumer insights to develop effective marketing programs and campaigns.
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in marketing) or equivalent experience required.
- This role sits in our Needham MA office 3x a week.
