About the Role The organization is seeking a Junior Engineer whose primary responsibility is supporting and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure, with a secondary focus on on-prem IT systems. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers, developers, and operations teams to ensure reliability, security, and performance across cloud, on-prem, and endpoint environments. Key Responsibilities Cloud & Infrastructure (Primary Focus) * Support, monitor, and maintain AWS cloud environments * Assist with provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting of AWS resources * Utilize infrastructure as code for configuration management On-Prem & IT Systems * Support on-prem infrastructure including: * Virtualization platforms * Storage and file sharing systems * Assist with Linux server administration and basic system maintenance * Help bridge on-prem and cloud environments where needed Developer & Application Support * Troubleshoot infrastructure and environment-related issues impacting developers * Assist with deployment failures, CI/CD issues, and runtime environment problems * Help diagnose application performance or connectivity issues in collaboration with developers * Use Python and scripting tools to debug, automate, and improve operational workflows Endpoint & User Systems Support * Support and troubleshoot end user workstations and laptops * Assist with: * Operating system configuration, updates, and system troubleshooting * Integration of workstations with internal systems, cloud services, and shared resources * Act as a technical escalation point for more complex workstation issues (not a ticket-only helpdesk role) Collaboration & Communication * Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders * Document processes, changes, and troubleshooting steps * Work collaboratively within a team environment while being comfortable operating independently Required Qualifications * 2+ years of hands-on AWS experience * AWS services (EC2, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, Control Tower) * Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls) * Linux server administration * Python scripting and basic application troubleshooting * Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience * Experience with version control systems like GitHub Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills * AWS, networking or information security certifications * Experience with: * virtualization platforms * enterprise file/share management systems * Windows/MacOS troubleshooting and system support * Prior experience supporting production systems What We’re Looking For * A self-starter who takes initiative and ownership * Strong desire to learn continuously and improve systems * Passion for automation and efficiency * High sense of responsibility and reliability when supporting critical infrastructure * Comfortable asking questions, documenting answers, and improving processes Why Join Us * Hands-on experience with real-world AWS and hybrid infrastructure * Opportunity to grow technical depth and system ownership * Supportive team environment with room for learning and advancement * Flexibility for the right candidate (local preferred, remote considered)

• Act as the first point of contact for technical questions and product issues • Debug and reproduce customer facing issues and escalate when needed • Investigate logs, errors, API requests, and AI workflow behaviour • Translate customer pain points into clear insights for Product and Engineering • Create and maintain technical documentation, guides, and solution examples • Work closely with Engineering, Legal Research, Product, and Infra teams • Improve onboarding and self serve support to reduce inbound tickets over time

• Serve as the technical architect for Salesforce Education Cloud implementations, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with Salesforce best practices. • Collaborate directly with education-sector clients to translate strategic goals and operational needs into comprehensive Education Cloud architecture and roadmap. • Lead end-to-end solution architecture including data models, integration strategy, declarative and programmatic components, and environment management. • Architect and oversee legacy data migrations from student information systems or custom education platforms into Salesforce Education Cloud. • Design and document complex data models using Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and ensure alignment with Education Data Architecture standards. • Evaluate and recommend Salesforce-native and third-party tools to support implementation goals (e.g., OmniStudio, Marketing Cloud, Tableau). • Support business analysts, consultants, and developers through design sessions, architecture reviews, and code/configuration governance. • Contribute to proposal development, solution demonstrations, and pre-sales activities as needed. • Mentor junior Salesforce professionals, promote architectural best practices, and contribute to practice-wide enablement and innovation efforts. • Knowledgeable about the Education Cloud roadmap, the features on Salesforce’s roadmap, and assist the project manager with the project roadmap planning. • Has experience architecting Student Management (Academic Operations) and Alumni solutions. • Responsible for the project's architecture documentation, for internal and external use. • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
