Junior Underwriter – Non-QM
Premier Mortgage Associates
• Responsible for assisting underwriting team by reviewing conditions and completing clear to close reviews on loans. • Review and clear underwriting conditions to ensure documents provided meet the guideline requirements. • Update LOS based on documents received and ensure the doc imaging system is properly updated as well. • Print final loan documents into the file as required. • Complete Checklist while reviewing loans for clear to close. • Ensure all requirements have been satisfied prior to issuing the clear to close. • Work with closing department to resolve discrepancies between final loan approval and closing terms (i.e. PITIA, cash to close, seller credits, etc.). • Review and clear post-closing underwriting conditions to allow for timely funding or purchasing of loans. • Ensure once all information is gathered that it is accurate, compliance standards are met, and the decision is in line with company policies and guidelines. • Communicate effectively with sales, business partners (Brokers/NDC Clients), and internal team members. • Maintain company productivity, service level and turn-time standards. • Respond to audits and post-closing issues in a timely manner. • Maintain working knowledge of Non-QM, TPO and/or NDC guidelines and policies. • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years prior mortgage experience
- 2+ years processing or junior underwriting experience
- Non-QM underwriting experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Math and critical thinking skills
- Financial analysis
- Strong Communication skills
- Ability to adapt to technology
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office
- Ability to meet deadlines
