Job Description

Safety Inspector – Pipeline

RMI

• Perform regular inspections and audits of pipeline facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations • Identify and document potential hazards and safety risks, implementing corrective actions as necessary • Conduct safety meetings and trainings, educating employees on best practices and safety procedures • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety policies and procedures • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports related to safety inspections and incidents • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in safety regulations, ensuring continuous compliance and improvement • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives, recommending enhancements when needed • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding safety issues and concerns • Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability within the organization

Job Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Proven experience as a Safety Inspector or in a similar role within the oil and gas industry
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to pipeline operations
  • Strong understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
  • Professional certification in safety management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional)
  • Experience conducting safety inspections and audits specifically in pipeline operations
  • Experience in the construction industry
  • OSHA 500/501 preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and general computer & technology literacy
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations related to pipeline operations
  • Familiarity with process safety management (PSM) principles and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
