Business Development Representative – Industrial Sector

• Develop and maintain long-term business relationships with general contractors, EPC firms, industrial clients, and strategic partners • Identify, qualify, and pursue new project opportunities within targeted markets • Continuously monitor the market to identify upcoming projects, industry trends, and competitor activities • Represent the company at client meetings, job site visits, trade shows, and networking events • Collaborate with estimating, project management, and executive teams to support the bidding process • Track business opportunities and maintain up-to-date sales pipeline information • Participate in market development strategies and company growth initiatives • Support commercial negotiations and contribute to securing new agreements • Regularly communicate client needs, market insights, and business forecasts to internal teams • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the business development cycle.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or account management within the construction, structural steel, or industrial project sectors
- Knowledge of the construction project environment and structural steel industry is considered a strong asset
- Excellent relationship-building and prospecting skills
- Proven ability to identify opportunities and generate new revenue
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written
- Availability for frequent travel throughout Canada and the United States, approximately two weeks per month
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a remote environment
- Proficiency with computer applications and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is considered an asset.
