Senior Application Developer Consultant – Inline SQL Remediation

HIKINEX

• Develop and maintain .NET applications with a focus on SQL Remediation. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance application performance. • Migrate SQL Server databases to PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and application functionality. • Troubleshoot and optimize existing database queries and application code. • Responsible for code reviews and ensuring best practices in database interactions.

Job Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card (Permanent Resident) holder ONLY.
  • Must be willing to undergo fingerprinting and a government background check (CJIS-type).
  • LinkedIn profile required; all resumes will be verified against LinkedIn.
  • 5+ years of full-stack .NET development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • C# and .NET application development
  • ADO.NET / System.Data.SqlClient and Npgsql
  • Entity Framework (EF6 and EF Core)
  • Dapper and data access layer development
  • SQL Server and PostgreSQL database integration
  • Refactoring embedded/inline SQL within application code
  • Experience migrating or converting:
  • SQL Server-based applications to PostgreSQL
  • Connection strings, credentials, and database access layers
  • T-SQL queries to PostgreSQL-compatible syntax
  • Strong understanding of application-to-database interactions, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience with .NET Framework to .NET Core/.NET 8 modernization projects.
  • AWS experience, including Secrets Manager and Parameter Store.
  • Experience supporting SQL Server to PostgreSQL migration initiatives.
  • Familiarity with transaction management and distributed system modernization.

Our researcher conducts all hands-on experimentation; this role keeps the participant pipeline moving behind the scenes — identifying candidates, reaching out, and scheduling their visits.
