Payroll Country Owner
Strada
• Subject Matter Leader in Ecuador for payroll compliance, legislation and local regulations • Acting as the key reference point for teams internally on standard payroll service, business process, SCP technology, and compliance matters • Reviewing and analyzing current payroll procedures and checklists, in order to recommend changes leading to best practice solutions • Drive continuous improvement to SCP in the country, methodology for delivering, and templates/standards • Train “Floor Walkers” in the operations teams: SCP super-users that support / coach colleagues and ensure SCP functionality is utilized by all delivery teams to the fullest extent
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any related field
- Expert knowledge of processes, policies and regulations within the area of payroll, within a geography/region: Ecuador
- 8-12 years relevant experience administering payroll and HR outsourcing in a corporate environment
- An ability to collaborate and work in a global, matrixed, fast-paced environment
- An ability to work independently, a self-starter
- Knowledge of Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Attention to detail

Role Description Plays a key role in the design of payroll and/or time and attendance system and process enhancements and production problem resolution. • The Payroll Analyst supports payroll operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing across the organization. • This role is responsible for managing the hourly employee payroll population across multiple entities in a multi-state environment. • Serving as backup support for the exempt payroll population as needed. • Partners closely with the Payroll Manager, People Team, Finance, and external providers to deliver a seamless payroll experience while maintaining strong attention to compliance and detail. • Lead the end-to-end payroll processing for the hourly employee population across two U.S. entities. • Validate timecards, overtime calculations, and applicable wage/hour rules. • Ensure accurate processing of wages, bonuses, adjustments, and benefit deductions. • Review payroll reports and perform detailed audits to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to finalization. • Supports payroll processing for exempt employees as backup coverage when needed. • Assist with payroll reconciliations and support year-end activities (e.g., W-2 review and validation).
• Execute end-to-end payroll processing across multiple US pay groups and legal entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery • Own key components of the payroll lifecycle, including data validation, reconciliations, issue resolution, and final outputs • Support payroll execution within a Workday–ADP environment, including pre-work, validation, and troubleshooting • Administer complex pay components such as commissions, bonuses, equity transactions, severance, and retroactive adjustments in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations • Monitor payroll timelines and proactively escalate risks when inputs are incomplete or delayed • Perform payroll reviews and reconciliations to identify discrepancies before finalization • Maintain SOX-compliant, audit-ready documentation and support audit requests • Manage employee lifecycle payroll activities (new hires, changes, separations) • Respond to employee inquiries through shared inbox/ticketing processes • Prepare payroll reports and support stakeholders with accurate and timely data • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to standardization and automation efforts
