Payroll Analyst

CARE

• The Payroll Analyst supports payroll operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing across the organization. • This role is responsible for managing the hourly employee payroll population across multiple entities in a multi-state environment. • Serving as backup support for the exempt payroll population as needed. • Partners closely with the Payroll Manager, People Team, Finance, and external providers to deliver a seamless payroll experience while maintaining strong attention to compliance and detail. • Lead the end-to-end payroll processing for the hourly employee population across two U.S. entities. • Validate timecards, overtime calculations, and applicable wage/hour rules. • Ensure accurate processing of wages, bonuses, adjustments, and benefit deductions. • Review payroll reports and perform detailed audits to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to finalization. • Supports payroll processing for exempt employees as backup coverage when needed. • Assist with payroll reconciliations and support year-end activities (e.g., W-2 review and validation).

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processing, particularly wage and hour compliance.
  • Experience managing hourly payroll populations with complex timekeeping.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems and HRIS platforms (Workday preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service mindset.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3–4 years of payroll processing experience, preferably supporting multi-state hourly populations.
  • Experience in a multi-entity environment preferred.
