Job Description
Operational Readiness Lead
Computacenter AG & Co. oHG
Role Description We are seeking an experienced operational manager to lead and coordinate a critical cross-functional workstream within the Rapid Data Center Deployment organization. This role acts as the operational quarterback across multiple business functions, managing post-sales readiness through pre-deployment operational activities while driving alignment, accountability, and execution across finance, supply chain, vendor and partner management, sales operations, deployment readiness, and back-office order-to-invoice teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and execution-focused, with the ability to consolidate complex information from multiple workstreams into clear, actionable reporting for executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams. This individual must excel in communications, driving operational coordination, identifying and escalating risks, and maintaining visibility into delivery readiness across a fast-paced, high-growth environment. What you'll be doing: - Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core values. - Own visibility and coordination across the end-to-end material and operational lifecycle, from procurement and tracking through release, handoff, invoicing, and deployment readiness. - Standardize and consolidate operational inputs, reporting, and tracking across multiple teams and systems into a unified operational framework and source of visibility. - Manage and coordinate post-sales to pre-deployment operational activities for rapid data center deployment programs. - Serve as the primary liaison between sales, finance, supply chain, back-office support, project management teams, and external vendors and partners. - Consolidate updates and dependencies across multiple functional workstreams into centralized program tracking and executive reporting. - Develop and maintain reliable, repeatable reporting mechanisms, dashboards, status summaries, and operational trackers. - Ensure executive stakeholders and project teams have clear visibility into activity status (e.g. informing the correct teams of any issues with shipments, invoices to the customer, issues or risks within vendors/supply chain workstreams, etc.). - Drive operational readiness by tracking procurement, financial approvals, supply chain timelines, partner deliverables, and deployment milestones. - Identify risks, delays, and process gaps early, escalating issues with clarity and actionable recommendations. - Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking activities related to deployment readiness and operational execution. - Coordinate cross-functional meetings, action-item tracking, and follow-up activities to ensure accountability and execution. - Partner closely with sales teams to align operational readiness with customer commitments and deployment schedules. - Act as a strategic operational partner to sales teams, influencing alignment, prioritization, reporting structure, and execution readiness across cross-functional stakeholders. - Maintain organized program documentation, status artifacts, process workflows, and executive communications. - Continuously improve reporting structures, operational processes, and cross-functional coordination methods. - Coordinate operational alignment between Professional Services and Tech Sourcing workflows, including invoicing dependencies, material readiness, cost recovery coordination, and deployment execution. - Serve as the centralized operational point of visibility for leadership, ensuring stakeholders have accurate, real-time insight into readiness, blockers, financial impacts, material movement, and deployment status. Qualifications - Legally eligible to work in the United States. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. - PMP or related program/project management certification preferred. - Minimum 10 years of experience in sales operations, business operations, supply chain program management, or related operational leadership roles. - Experience building operational dashboards, KPI reporting, and executive-level business reviews. - Working knowledge or previous experience using dashboarding and reporting tools such as Qlik, PowerBI, Salesforce, or similar platforms. - Proven experience managing external vendors, partners, and customers and driving orders, shipments, invoicing, etc. to completion. - Strong experience coordinating across finance, supply chain, vendor management, sales operations, and back-office operational teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. - Demonstrated success leading cross-functional operational initiatives and driving accountability across teams, even without direct management authority. - Demonstrated ability to compile, organize, and communicate complex information in a clear, concise, and actionable format. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial tracking, and operational reporting. - Strong risk management and escalation skills with the ability to communicate delays and impacts effectively to stakeholders and leadership. - Exceptional organizational, analytical, and project coordination capabilities. - Working knowledge of order-to-invoice/quote-to-cash cycles, procurement, supply chain, and operational readiness workflows. - Advanced proficiency with reporting and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Teams. - Ability to create scalable operational processes, reporting structures, and governance models rather than simply operate within existing frameworks. - Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to executive stakeholders. - Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining the highest level of attention to detail and execution quality. Benefits - Competitive compensation plans. - Long-term career opportunities. - Attractive mix of benefit plans to contribute to your good health, future financial security, and peace of mind.
