Lead Sales Technical Specialist

• The Technical Sales Application Engineer (AE) serves as the interface between Sales, commercial, Engineering, other AEs in Factory, customers and Execution team. • In this role, you will drive business growth by collaborating with the Regional Sales team to develop comprehensive bid proposals for Field Interventions, Maintenance (VFDs, Motors, Generators), Repairs, Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs), and Control & Modernization Upgrades (CMU) for Power Electronics and associated systems (Excitation/AVR). • The AE is responsible for the technical solutions and the cost associated with it. • Beyond proposal development, the AE spearheads service campaigns—tracking progress alongside sales managers and providing the technical leverage needed to generate leads and close deals across the Oil & Gas, Industry, Power Generation, Marine, Synchronous condenser and Heavy Industry (Metals, Mining, Material Handling) sectors. • The AE need to be independent to drive campaigns and also to face customer meetings. • Developing specialized knowledge of latest commercial developments in own area and communication skills to influence others. • Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility. • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. • Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. • Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working on HV VFD system, Electrical Rotating machinery, with knowledge on associated systems(AVR, Excitation, Process control, Automation PLC systems.
  • Prior Experience in bid preparation and building cost model
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of other languages like Arabic and French will be an added advantage
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
