Role Description The Salesforce Administrator & Integration Specialist will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and improving Long Home’s Salesforce environment and related business applications. The majority of this role will be declarative in nature, including: - Flows - Validation rules - Page layouts - Permission sets - Reporting - Data quality - User support - Process automation In addition, this role will support light technical work, including: - Point-to-point API integrations - Troubleshooting data flow issues - Working with middleware tools - Collaborating on small Apex or integration-related enhancements The SAIS should be comfortable translating business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions, working with stakeholders across departments, and maintaining a clean, reliable, and well-documented Salesforce environment. Remote position but MUST reside in: - Maryland - Massachusetts - Connecticut - New Hampshire - Pennsylvania - Florida Responsibilities - Manage day-to-day Salesforce administration, including users, roles, profiles, permission sets, queues, public groups, page layouts, Lightning pages, record types, fields, objects, and security settings. - Build and maintain declarative automation using Salesforce Flow, approval processes, validation rules, formulas, dynamic forms, and other platform tools. - Support Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service, CPQ, reporting, dashboards, and related Salesforce functionality. - Partner with business users to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and design practical Salesforce solutions. - Maintain data quality through duplicate management, required field logic, validation rules, reporting, imports, updates, and cleanup activities. - Create and maintain reports and dashboards that provide useful visibility into sales, operations, service, and leadership metrics. - Assist with release management, sandbox testing, change documentation, and deployment activities. - Work with business stakeholders to understand current processes and identify opportunities to simplify, automate, or improve them. - Translate business requirements into Salesforce configuration, automation, reporting, or integration requirements. - Evaluate whether requested changes should be handled declaratively, through integration, or through light development. - Help ensure Salesforce solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business priorities. - Document system changes, process logic, integration behavior, and administrative procedures. - Support point-to-point API integrations between Salesforce and internal or external systems. - Assist with troubleshooting integration failures, data sync issues, authentication problems, field mapping errors, and API payload issues. - Work with REST APIs, JSON payloads, authentication methods, connected apps, named credentials, and basic API testing tools. - Partner with internal team members, vendors, or developers on integration design, testing, and issue resolution. - Support middleware-based integrations; MuleSoft experience is a major plus. - Perform or assist with light Apex, SOQL, or technical troubleshooting when declarative tools are not enough. - Review debug logs, flow errors, validation failures, and integration logs to identify root causes. - Provide verbal and written performance feedback, including annual performance reviews, and follow the Long Home disciplinary action process, when applicable. - Maintain an environment that embodies the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values. - Remain in compliance and up to date on all company-wide live and digital training. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications - 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience. - Strong experience building and maintaining Salesforce Flows. - Solid understanding of Salesforce security, including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, roles, and object/field-level security. - Experience with custom objects, fields, record types, Lightning pages, page layouts, validation rules, formula fields, and reporting. - Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into Salesforce solutions. - Comfort troubleshooting system issues, data issues, automation failures, and user-reported problems. - Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, data mapping, and system-to-system communication. - Ability to read or write basic SOQL queries. - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. - Good communication skills with both technical and non-technical users. - Experience with Salesforce Field Service. - Experience with Salesforce CPQ. - Experience with MuleSoft, MuleSoft Composer, or other middleware tools preferred. - Experience supporting REST API integrations. - Basic Apex experience, including the ability to understand existing code and make minor updates. - Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, call center operations, lead management, or appointment scheduling processes. - Experience with data tools such as Data Loader, Inspector, Workbench, or similar tools. - Experience working in a fast-paced sales, home services, construction, or field operations environment. Education/Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT preferred. - 3–5 years of Salesforce delivery work or related experience. Skills - Required skills enable the specialist to effectively configure and maintain Salesforce environments, ensuring that user permissions, workflows, and data structures align with business needs. - Integration skills are essential for connecting Salesforce with other systems, allowing seamless data flow and process automation across platforms. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities help quickly identify and resolve system issues, minimizing downtime and disruption. - Communication and collaboration skills are used daily to work with stakeholders, gather requirements, and provide training, ensuring user adoption and satisfaction. - Preferred skills such as development knowledge and experience with integration platforms enhance the ability to deliver customized solutions and support complex business processes.
