Commercial Development Manager – Life Sciences
Charter Medical
• Develop and maintain relationships with current Customers as well as prospecting for new Customers. • Drive business growth and revenue generation. • Manage a portfolio of current business and develop new revenue streams. • Collaborate with Partners and Market understanding their needs, objectives, and pain points. • Build a robust pipeline rounding out the tenants of revenue. • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing & Product Development to develop strategic approaches. • Utilize CRM effectively managing Sales Process. • Participate in professional growth training and internal systems utilization. • Identify and attend key Life Science Industry Conferences for networking and business opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferably with a concentration in Biologic discipline or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years related experience in a business development role serving the Biotech/CGT industry.
- Experience operating in a field-based commercial capacity.
- Experience with product or process development engineering preferred.
- Time/territory management skills in a field-based capacity.
- Ability to clearly communicate and value sell the core competencies of the company.
- Considerable experience identifying sales opportunities and successfully close new business.
- Considerable interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate to clients, develop relationships and present creative solutions.
- Experience in the development of single use products and processes.
- Understanding of single use products and solutions in application development and sales solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to identify and proactively pursue business opportunities.
- Proficient critical thinking skills.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Knowledge of Biotech and CGT industry and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite and CRM systems, specifically Salesforce.
- Superior negotiating skills.
- Ability to manage a technical project, understanding the client’s needs, how the needs relate to the scope of the project and how changes will affect other systems.
- Ability to lead technical projects and participate in strategic discussions amongst peers, management, clients and/or contractors.
- Working knowledge of a variety of medical device manufacturing techniques.
- Working with and managing distribution networks is preferred.

• Conduct site visits to support customers with engine installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. • Conduct commissioning of engines including sea trials and HAT and SAT documentation. • Serve as the primary technical liaison for dealers, distributors, and end users in your region. • Ensure customer cases are followed through from initial contact to final resolution. • Monitor and respond to technical support requests in a timely and professional manner. • Oversee and administer the warranty process for your area, ensuring accurate and complete documentation. • Identify, report, and track product quality issues, both internally and externally. • Review and quality-check field service reports and technical documentation before submission. • Make qualified recommendations to the Engineering team based on field observations and recurring issues. • Monitor and evaluate dealer and distributor technical competence within your network. • Support and guide dealers in technical matters, service processes, and OXE product knowledge. • Assist in business plan development for dealers looking to expand their OXE service and sales capabilities. • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for the dealer network. • Maintain accurate installation records, field reports, and service documentation. • Communicate relevant technical and operational information between internal departments. • Participate in the continuous improvement of aftermarket processes, reporting structures, and digital tools. • Represent OXE Marine professionally in all customer and partner interactions.
