Business Development Representative
AppGate
• Become an expert in delivering AppGate’s value proposition and sales overview to prospective customers and partners. • Communicate AppGate’s solutions clearly and effectively to align prospect needs with business value. • Generate qualified sales pipeline through account research, outbound prospecting, and timely follow-up on inbound leads. • Identify and engage target accounts within assigned regions and verticals. • Schedule and qualify discovery meetings for Regional Sales Directors. • Ensure strong handoffs with clear context, qualification notes, and next steps. • Partner with Regional Sales Directors and Customer Success Managers to support upsell and expansion campaigns within the existing customer base. • Assist with outreach and coordination related to expansion initiatives. • Support targeted sales pursuits by assisting with research, coordination, and follow-up, while deal ownership remains with the Regional Sales Director. • Assist in expanding channel ecosystem contribution by working with Channel Sales Directors to support engagement with key resellers, technology alliance partners, and MSPs. • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and account notes within Salesforce and related sales tools. • Ensure consistent documentation to support forecasting and sales performance visibility.
Job Requirements
- Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed activity and pipeline targets.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience as a BDR/SDR, inside sales, or channel-related sales role, preferably within IT, cybersecurity, or network services.
- Highly organized, task- and goal-driven with strong time management skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, virtual team environment with a high degree of autonomy.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong follow-up discipline and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using sales tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach/SalesLoft, and FI Navigator.
- Demonstrated desire to grow into expanded sales responsibilities over time.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as needed to support sales objectives.
- This is a remote position based in the United States.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
