Clinical Specialist
Calyxo, Inc.
• Provide clinical case coverage as assigned • Train the surgical team to assist in good patient outcomes • Acquire and maintain current knowledge of perioperative surgical technology practice • Develop technical acumen to serve as an educational resource • Maintain and prepare equipment and kits for surgery • Provide intra-operative clinical product support • Ensure compliance with all company policies
Job Requirements
- Clinical experience such as Scrub Tech, X-Ray Tech, RN or BSN, Laser Tech
- Industry experience (1-3 years) for Clinical Specialist II and 3+ years for Sr. Clinical Specialist
- Ability to provide intraoperative procedural guidance
- Willingness to travel outside of the designated territory
- Experience in surgical technique and sterile procedures in the operating room
- Experience utilizing fluoroscopy is a plus
- Customer relationship and procedural skill development are highly desired
- Highly desirable candidates will have a degree or certification in a medical-related field (ex: LPN, RN, Surg Tech, Rad Tech, etc)

• Respond promptly to Ossium communications regarding donor recovery availability • Perform vertebral body recovery immediately following organ procurement or when permitted • Develop in-depth knowledge of Ossium Health and recovery partner protocols to consistently ensure high quality performance • Travel primarily by car, using either your own vehicle or a recovery partner’s vehicle if permitted, and potentially by plane to designated facilities where organ procurement is performed • Coordinate closely with Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) staff • Be available to recover a minimum of 4 cases per month to maintain competency level • Document, recover, package, and personally deliver recovered tissue to Ossium’s processing facility in Indianapolis • Represent Ossium Health with professionalism to partners and clinical staff • Consistently adhere to all safety standards, including proper use of PPE
• Monitor and update traffic incident information in assigned regions • Work with real-time data from multiple sources • Verify and cross-check information before making updates • Record important details such as location, direction, cause, and impact • Update incidents as conditions change • Close incidents once they are resolved and confirmed • Communicate with team members and supervisors when clarification is needed
