Merchandiser – Product Acquisition

• Respond to product sourcing requests from the sales team, finding the best possible options across domestic suppliers and overseas manufacturers • Evaluate recommendations not just on availability and price, but on product fit. • Build and maintain a supplier knowledge base covering who carries what, which brands skew trendy vs. basic vs. professional, and which supplier is the go-to for specific product types • Conduct regular market research, studying brands, trends, and retail aesthetics to develop a strong eye for what different customer segments actually want • Identify recurring product gaps. • Document sourcing knowledge so the team can reference it instead of starting from scratch on every request • Support outreach to new overseas manufacturers and domestic suppliers as we expand into new product categories
Job Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of experience in operations specific to procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or buying
- Note: We're also open to fresh graduates who are highly interested in fashion trends and details
- Experience in American fashion and apparel.
- Ability to evaluate product fit by customer demographic.
- Strong research instincts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Comfortable working with data and digital tools including CRM systems, knowledge bases, and spreadsheets
