• Handle the legal process from investigation through trial with supervision of a partner • Regular communication with clients and relationship development • Advising clients on case status, arbitrations, and proceedings • Preparing and responding to discovery • Drafting legal analysis memoranda, briefs, and reports • Conducting and defending depositions • Preparing and responding to motions and engaging in motion practice • Appearing before courts and at hearings
Job Requirements
- Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
- 1–3 years of litigation experience preferred
- Will consider a first-year attorney with prior civil litigation exposure or relevant experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently

• Lead the legal work required to establish iWill, helping Wahed build a compliant and scalable US private client legal offering. • Advise on appropriate legal structures, licensing requirements, regulatory considerations, and state-by-state requirements for launching estate planning services in the US. • Work closely with Wahed leadership to shape the launch roadmap, service model, and legal operating framework. • Develop and deliver legal services relating to Wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and wider estate planning matters. • Draft, review, and maintain client-facing legal documents, templates, precedents, workflows, and guidance notes. • Ensure all services are legally robust, client-friendly, and suitable for Muslim families seeking faith-aligned legacy planning. • Support the development of Shariah-conscious estate planning solutions that align with US legal requirements and Islamic inheritance principles. • Advise on charitable legacy planning, waqf-inspired structures, donor-advised arrangements, charitable trusts, and planned giving solutions. • Help position iWill as a trusted service provider for clients seeking to protect their families and leave a meaningful legacy. • Provide legal input on federal and state estate tax, gift tax, trust administration, probate, and inheritance planning considerations. • Identify legal, regulatory, tax, and operational risks and recommend practical, commercially sound solutions. • Work with external counsel and advisers where required to ensure compliance across relevant US jurisdictions. • Partner with product, compliance, operations, marketing, technology, and customer experience teams to build a scalable legal service. • Help design efficient client journeys, digital workflows, internal policies, and operational processes for iWill and iWaqf. • Support training, knowledge-sharing, community education, and go-to-market activity for the US estate planning offering. • Work with the iWill Solicitors leadership in the UK to grow and develop the business.
