Accounting Manager

Circular Services (formerly Balcones Recycling)

• Lead financial statement preparation and accuracy • Manage accounting staff to ensure timely, high-quality billing and reporting • Analyze monthly results and provide actionable insights • Optimize process flows for billing, accounting, A/R, and A/P • Train staff and implement software solutions to enhance systems • Oversee financial accounting and reporting systems, processes, and automation tools • Manage, develop, and mentor personnel in accounting, A/R, A/P, and payroll • Update and monitor the Company's cash flow to ensure it is appropriate for existing operations and future projects • Review the Company's banking operations and monitor covenant compliance • Support the Accounting dept. during the annual audit process • Ensure the Company is up to date with regulations and GAAP standards • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in a senior financial or managerial role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Business Central / F&O D365), including other accounting software
  • Manage consolidated financial statements, journal entries, and group accounting consolidations
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, contributing to a positive and productive work environment and maintaining professionalism in all interactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities You will be responsible for maintaining and reviewing general accounting and bookkeeping records, including selected account analysis necessary to compile a complete and accurate trial balance, including, but not limited to, the following: - Ensuring account analyses are prepared to document the activity in selected general ledger accounts, as outlined in the Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual. This includes any related adjusting entries necessary to reconcile such analysis to the general ledger; - Ensuring that staff maintain adequate files and documentation necessary to support all financial and/or project-related transactions, as well as project revenue and cost allocations; - Monitoring and enforcing compliance with the Company's accounting policies and procedures; - Reviewing staff documentation for accuracy and completeness of financial and project-related information; - Performing internal reviews to verify the accuracy of the Company's general ledger accounts; - Overseeing lease activity from execution of the agreement, monthly accounting adjustments to the payment processing as well as support any needed updates to process procedures; - Supervising the General Ledger Staff in the areas of: - Planning, assigning, and directing work. - Interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, appraisals and disciplinary actions. - Addressing complaints and resolving employee issues. - Perform special projects and related work as required.
