• Engage directly with clients to understand their operational goals, identify emerging needs, and recommend tailored energy efficiency and decarbonization solutions aligned with industry trends. • Perform energy audits for commercial sites throughout New England and complete renewable energy feasibility studies with a focus on solar and geothermal systems. • Strengthen relationships with existing utility and commercial/industrial clients while proactively identifying opportunities to expand services through collaboration with partners, subcontractors, and key industry stakeholders. • Manage mid‑sized consulting projects from concept to completion, including task planning, resource coordination, and oversight of additional staff as needed. • Develop and review scopes of work, budgets, and project plans to ensure all milestones, deliverables, and financial targets are met. • Coordinate across internal and external teams to execute project assignments efficiently and with high technical quality.

• Support and manage a diverse engineering and design project team • Research, define, test, and implement processes • Develop P&ID’s, Process Flow Diagrams, Utility drawings, project specifications, and equipment layouts for food-processing facilities • Properly size, specify, and integrate process equipment • Coordinate structural, mechanical, electrical and control systems as required • Provide direction to engineers, designers and CAD operators for the creation of engineering drawings • Develop design specifications for external suppliers • Generate and manage various forms of communication throughout the life-cycle of a project • Prepare contract documents, calculations, observation reports, and estimates • Aid in the bidding of equipment and services by generating the appropriate bid documents • Assist in estimating layout costs for specified process; seek alternative methods that reduce cost of design • Effectively respond to the needs and requests of clients • Utilize company software/tools to ensure all necessary documents are in-place and processed • Provide onsite and/or offsite direction and support to Field Engineers and Superintendents throughout the equipment installation, startup, and commissioning phases

Responsibilities - Apply Engineering Principles: Utilize engineering knowledge to support the development, design, manufacturing, assembly, evaluation/inspection, and procurement of aircraft or aerospace structural details and assemblies. - Material Selection and Development: Recommend and select processes, coatings, and components, considering environmental and regulatory requirements for chemical, environmental, and mechanical aspects of aerostructures. - Concept Development: Develop new concepts for aerostructures aligned with OEM process requirements. - Research and Development: Support research projects to resolve process challenges, enhance manufacturing and assembly processes, and advance aerospace materials technology. - Process Improvement: Innovate chemical process and assembly operations to achieve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, environmental sustainability, and compliance with contractual and regulatory standards. - Standards Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of engineering standards and specifications. - Documentation: Review and approve engineering drawings and documents for part conformance and to assist in resolving part failure analysis for fabrication, assembly and in service problems. - Problem-Solving and Quality Improvement: Utilize analytical problem-solving skills to enhance delivery efficiency and quality, including Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCAs). Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program - 9+ years working as an engineer in a related field - Strong oral and written communication skills - Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multi-functional teams - Demonstrated ability to learn and work independently - Effective time management - Ability to travel to suppliers (~10-25%) Requirements - Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): - Industry Experience: Prior experience in the aircraft/aerospace industry focusing on aerostructure materials, processes, and standards. Focus on composite processing, manufacturing and inspection preferred. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD tools such as Catia V5/6, Enovia, PASS, PDMLink, along with Project Planning (MS Project), Engineering Resource Planning Tools (SAP/cERP/gPLM), and standard MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Visio). - Advanced Education or Experience: A Master's degree in Chemical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Alternatively, a minimum of five years of direct technical experience in aircraft/aerospace engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Process Improvement: Training or certification in Lean or Six Sigma.
