Associate - Grade A Lawyer

• Manage a caseload of complex serious injury claims from initial strategy to resolution • Lead on liability, quantum, rehabilitation, interim payment and settlement strategy • Work closely with clients, families, counsel, medical experts and other specialists • Provide direction, oversight and mentoring to junior colleagues • Contribute to high standards of technical quality, collaboration and client service
Job Requirements
- 8+ years’ PQE, or equivalent senior-level experience in serious injury
- Proven track record of leading complex serious injury matters involving liability and quantum
- Excellent technical capability and sound knowledge of litigation and court procedure
- A strong track record of high-quality client care
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior colleagues
- Strong commercial awareness and professional judgement

• The assistant will need to fill out legal forms. The client is not a lawyer • Advanced Excel work: reporting, data manipulation, and operational spreadsheets.
• Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage corporate and commercial agreements across all group entities, including client agreements, vendor contracts, employment terms, and internal policies. • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure stringent operational and regulatory compliance with Singaporean, international, and offshore legal frameworks, particularly within the quantitative trading, fintech, and payment sectors. • Risk & Governance Advisory: Provide proactive, expert advice to senior management and the Board of Directors regarding corporate governance, cross-border compliance matters, and risk mitigation strategies. • External Liaison: Serve as the primary corporate point of contact to coordinate with external legal counsels, regulatory bodies, and international compliance partners when required. • Framework Establishment: Build and standardize internal legal frameworks, corporate documentation guidelines, and continuous compliance monitoring processes across the entire Group ecosystem.
• Develop and execute licensing roadmap across EU, Latin America, Africa, South Asia, and Hong Kong for payments, e-money, remittances, and VASP/crypto-related services. • Prepare, review, and submit license applications; manage communications with regulators and government agencies. • Engage and coordinate with external legal counsel, consultants, and regulatory authorities in multiple jurisdictions. • Work closely with Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to ensure regulatory frameworks are embedded into product and operational design. • Track regulatory developments globally, identify opportunities/risks, and advise management on market entry requirements. • Draft and maintain internal policies, licensing documentation, and regulatory reports. • Represent Coins.ph in regulatory discussions, industry associations, and working groups to support favorable licensing outcomes.
