Freelance Instructor – Retail Consultation and Sales

• Live instruction & practical training: You design interactive online live sessions and convey expertise from everyday retail practice—particularly in the areas of customer consultation, sales, product knowledge, customer communication and complaint management. • Curriculum implementation & didactics: You teach the content of Partial Qualification 4 (TQ4) in line with the nationwide module standard and use varied, practice-oriented teaching methods such as case studies, role plays, group work and simulations. • Teaching core sales competencies: You explain practical topics such as the phases of a sales conversation, needs analysis, argumentation, objection handling, closing techniques, quality features, seals/certifications, as well as legal framework conditions and occupational safety. • Participant support & skills assessment: You prepare our participants for the module-concluding skills assessment in written and practical form, carry out learning checks and provide constructive feedback on their progress. • Support during company-based qualification phase: In coordination with the program lead, you support participants during the workplace learning phase and help ensure a meaningful integration of theory and practice. • Teaching materials & digital learning environment: You work with provided teaching materials and digital tools such as Moodle and Office applications, and incorporate up-to-date, practice-relevant content as needed. • Team collaboration: You coordinate closely with the program lead, administration and other instructors to help ensure a reliable and high-quality learning environment.
Job Requirements
- Practical experience in retail: You have completed vocational training in retail, for example as a retail salesperson or in a comparable field.
- Solid professional experience: You bring several years of hands-on retail experience—ideally with responsibility for consultation, sales, inventory management, purchasing or warehouse processes.
- Subject-matter competence in module topics: You can convey topics such as sales psychology, conversation techniques, needs analysis, product knowledge, complaint management and legal basics clearly and confidently.
- Teaching sensibility: You enjoy teaching practice-relevant content and explain topics in a structured, motivating and understandable way—also for adult learners with diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in adult education or vocational training: Ideally, you have already worked with adult learners or trainees and are familiar with the requirements of practice-oriented knowledge transfer.
- Digital affinity: You are comfortable teaching virtually, use digital tools confidently and can make online lessons lively and interactive.
- Formal suitability: An AEVO certificate (trainer aptitude) is desirable; alternatively you are willing to obtain it. In addition, there must be no disqualifying reasons under the German Vocational Training Act (BBiG) § 30.
- Freelance setup: You work independently on a fee basis, can provide the necessary documentation and are flexible and available for online live sessions according to the course schedule.
- Language skills: You have very good German language skills, both spoken and written.
