Role Description As an Account Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of ingredient solutions, driving strategic growth, and delivering value to our partners. This is your opportunity to bring your passion for food, wellness, and client success to a team that thrives on innovation and impact. - Develop and manage sales of dsm-firmenich products to Food & Beverage customers achieving respective budget targets in volume, price and profitability. - Develop and implement customer action plans. - Monitor and analyze sales results by customer and product adjusting approaches when necessary to optimize profit with topline growth. - Capture, translate and communicate relevant market data back into the business: competitive price strategy and/or actions; product demand, etc. - Quote pricing and develop commercial proposals according to agreed strategy. - Manage and develop forecasting for customers in territory. - Manage and develop pipeline with customers through CRM platform. - Deliver commercial presentations aiming to improve customer knowledge of dsm-firmenich products as well as to further develop dsm-firmenich branding. - Prospect and search for new customers, new business and promote innovation. - Shape Market Strategy through deep analysis of trends, customer behaviors, and competitive landscapes—identifying growth opportunities and crafting effective sales approaches. - Champion Client Engagement by proactively managing sales pipelines, building strong relationships, and ensuring satisfaction through tailored presentations, product insights, and collaborative solution development. - Deliver Strategic Insights that guide decision-making and unlock new opportunities by staying ahead of market shifts and translating data into actionable strategies. - Promote Cross-Functional Collaboration by working closely with internal teams to align sales efforts with innovation, marketing, and customer support for seamless execution. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably in Dairy Science, Food Science, Food Technology, or other related discipline. - 5-8 years of experience in a sales, business development, and/or account management role within B2B environment. - Food/beverage industry experience within the food ingredient industry preferred. - Ability to travel 50% (or more) – primarily domestic travel. - Demonstrates experience in communicating with a variety of functions to generate sales. - Strong customer relationship skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with key stakeholders across global accounts. - Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. - Positive attitude with a drive toward meeting and exceeding targets. Requirements - The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary: $114,700.00 - $140,000.00. - In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits. All benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements.
