Job Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience

- Proven ability to define leading indicators, run experiments, and iterate based on measurable results
- Data-driven mindset
- Excellent communicator and collaborator across disciplines

Role Description The Associate Product Manager plays a key role in advancing CONMED’s Advanced Surgical portfolio by owning the lifecycle, strategy, and roadmap for the Energy portfolio. This role focuses on driving sustaining initiatives from an upstream marketing perspective—using voice‑of‑customer insights, competitive intelligence, and data‑driven analysis to inform portfolio decisions, investment tradeoffs, and execution priorities. The Associate Product Manager partners closely with cross‑functional teams to translate strategy into actionable requirements, support disciplined controlled market releases, and ensure alignment across development, operations, and commercial functions as products progress toward commercialization readiness. - Drive sustaining for advanced surgical products from marketing side, including line extensions, design changes, cost‑reduction efforts, and end‑of‑life (EOL) execution. - Develop business cases for sustaining efforts including market sizing, financial modeling, and ROI analysis to support investment and resource allocation decisions, with clear data‑driven recommendations. - Create and drive controlled market release strategies for sustaining initiatives, ensuring disciplined planning, execution, and launch readiness, with clear cross‑functional communication across downstream and commercial teams. - Continuously prioritize sustaining projects, balancing risk, and business impact, and driving transparency across cross‑functional teams around anticipated backorders and supply constraints. - Lead voice‑of‑customer (VOC) and field engagement activities related to sustaining initiatives, synthesizing insights into portfolio recommendations, requirements, and prioritization decisions. - Translate portfolio strategy, VOC insights, and sustaining priorities into clear marketing and product requirements, supporting effective hand‑off and execution across R&D and cross‑functional teams. - Partner with cross‑functional teams—including R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain—to ensure alignment from strategy through execution and commercialization readiness. - Monitor competitive intelligence, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to maintain differentiation and inform portfolio strategy. - Champion a data‑driven, customer‑centered approach, ensuring the voice of the customer informs portfolio decisions, priorities, and execution.
