Job Description

Senior Product Manager

Apella

• You'll help surgical teams see and act on what's happening in the OR in real time, where minutes of delay compound across a day of cases • Be able to evolve the strategic vision and roadmap of our Pulse product to support increasing impact on our customers operational efficiency, balancing what should be in the product roadmap vs. what should be professional services • Collaborate with our technical partners, engineering, design, data science and machine learning, as well as our commercial ones in sales and customer success • Evaluate new opportunities within OR operations workflows • Bring Pulse to where the OR team actually is, on their feet, between cases, on mobile — so the right person gets the right signal at the moment it matters, not back at a workstation.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including in ambiguous, fast-moving domains where the right roadmap isn't handed to you.
  • Strong user research instincts, with a track record of getting into the field, watching real workflows, and pulling out the high-leverage pain points worth solving.
  • Make mobile the shortest path from "something happens in the OR" to "the right people take action" — putting real-time signal in the hands of the team wherever they are.
  • You will thrive at a start-up environment. You stay focused under pressure, take hard feedback well and know when to adjust and when to carry on. You self-manage to achieve your goals and help others succeed.
  • Enough data fluency to collaborate effectively with data science and fill gaps when needed. You don't have to be a SQL wizard, but you should hold your own with our CS team and a technical OR director, and be able to pressure test analyses from our data science team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, customer-facing, and executive teams.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and stock options
  • Flexible vacation policy and a culture that values time for rest and recharging
  • Remote-first work environment with unique virtual and in-person events to foster team connection
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance—we’re a healthcare company that prioritizes your health
  • 4 months of parental leave for all parents
