Job Description

Senior Engineering Manager

Podium

• Be Customer-Obsessed – We expect every engineering manager to talk to customers, understand their needs, and be “joined at the hip” with their product counterparts to build solutions for our customers better than any of us could design or engineer on our own. We’re looking for builders with an excellent product sense. • Be Hands-On – Contribute code to production systems and actively participate in architecture, design reviews, code reviews, and critical technical decisions alongside your senior engineering team. • Drive Engineering Execution & Delivery – Lead a team of engineers to ship tons of value to our customers and ship it fast. We prioritize a sense of urgency, but a big part of your job is also to foster a culture of technical excellence and speed without sacrificing reliability. • Technical Strategy & Roadmap – We expect our engineering managers to drive technical strategy for their teams, balancing long-term architecture with short-term pragmatism. The buck stops with you

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of engineering management experience with hands-on technical leadership; comfortable working directly on architecture and technical decisions with senior engineers who need less day-to-day management.
  • 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a track record of building distributed systems or data-intensive applications.
  • You use AI to code and are passionate about harnessing this new magic in your work, side-projects, or both.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams through complex challenges in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. You can align technical roadmaps with business outcomes.
  • Experience with hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering talent.

Benefits

  • Open and transparent culture
  • Life insurance, long and short-term disability coverage
  • Paid maternity and paternity leave
  • Fertility Benefits
  • Generous vacation time, plus three 4-day summer holiday weekends
  • Excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401k Plan with company matching
  • Bi-annual swag drops with cool Podium gear and apparel
  • A stellar HQ (Utah) gym with local professional coaches and classes offered
  • Onsite HQ (Utah) child care center, subsidized for employees
