Role Description As a Capability Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the vision, definition, & execution of a product or group of products. Capability Managers collaborate with business experts, developers, and technical architects to incorporate business requirements into backlogs, align priorities with the product roadmap, and deliver results within scope and budget. - Define the product vision from the point of view of multiple customers/users/stakeholders. - Document & prioritize requirements. - May wear many hats on an agile scrum team, including writing features, verifying/accepting user stories, and driving execution. Role Details: - Focus on creating & scaling Provider data quality, transformation, and/or loading capabilities across UHG. - Business goals will typically focus on improving provider data accuracy and/or driving operational efficiency, leveraging Artificial Intelligence and/or Automation capabilities. Responsibilities - Engage business leaders, teams & subject matter experts to prioritize needs. - Identify & document goals, value, & benefits. - Build relationships with customers across UHG, infusing their voice throughout the product lifecycle. - Create, document, & communicate a clear product vision & roadmap. - Own the product/capability P&L, partnering with finance and business operations leaders. - Ensure prioritized work aligns with the delivery of agreed upon business value. - Own the product lifecycle from ideation to development to release. - Provide clear product direction to the development team(s). - Lead all capability planning activities (e.g. PI Planning, PMC, Sprint Planning). - Partner with Director & VP levels to understand relative prioritization across products & teams. Qualifications - 3+ years working on an Agile software development project(s) and/or equivalent experience. - 3+ years experience tracking, planning, and working on software development projects. - Intermediate Level Microsoft Office skills (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, OneNote, SharePoint, PowerPoint). Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Health Administration or related field (preferred). - Experience with Artificial Intelligence and/or machine learning capabilities. - Agile Product Manager and/or Scrum Master Certification, or equivalent. - Experience in Aha, CA Agile (formerly known as Rally), or equivalent agile deployment technology. - Health care experience or internal experience within UnitedHealth Group (UHG). - Experience with data quality, stewardship, and governance. - Familiarity with UHG’s provider data ecosystem and related operational workflows. - Experience building process flows and/or architecture design diagrams. - Ability to define and prioritize product backlogs, compose features and user stories, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to leadership and technical teams. - Ability to execute strategic and tactical direction. - Ability to work with individuals with high technical acumen.
