Role Description As a Lead Staff Engineer on our Microsoft 365 Transformations team, you will contribute to the architecture and delivery of secure, scalable solutions across SharePoint Online and the Power Platform. You’ll help clients choose the right mix of out-of-the-box capabilities, low-code/no-code, and pro-code development, collaborate closely with project leads and architects, and mentor junior engineers through code reviews and day-to-day guidance. How You’ll Help Us - Help clients migrate and modernize onto Microsoft 365. - Maximize the value of their M365 investments. - Deliver secure, scalable solutions using out-of-the-box capabilities, low-code/no-code, and pro-code development. - Specialize in Microsoft 365 migrations and modernizations, including information architecture, governance, and adoption. - Incorporate M365 Copilot, Copilot agents, and AI-assisted delivery to accelerate outcomes and improve solution quality. Key Technologies You’ll Use - Microsoft 365: SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive - SharePoint Framework (SPFx): Webparts and Teams apps built with React, TypeScript, Bootstrap/Tailwind, Fluent UI, PnPjs - Power Platform: Power Apps (Canvas & model-driven), Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse - Integrations: connectors, custom APIs, Azure services (e.g., Logic Apps), CI/CD and ALM, Microsoft Graph APIs - Copilot and AI: Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio (where applicable), AI-assisted delivery tools (GitHub Copilot) Once You Are Here, You Will - Partner with project leads and architects on client discovery and solution design for Microsoft 365 transformations. - Lead technical delivery for assigned components or workstreams. - Design and deliver end-to-end M365 solutions across SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and related services. - Plan and execute migrations and cutovers, including testing strategy, content validation, training, and adoption/change activities. - Build business apps and automations with Power Platform aligned to enterprise governance and M365 patterns. - Integrate M365 and Power Platform solutions with enterprise data sources and external systems. - Contribute to strong engineering practices: security and compliance, performance, accessibility, maintainability, code review, and effective testing/debugging. - Use AI and Copilot capabilities to accelerate delivery and improve productivity. - Stay current on Microsoft platform updates and contribute to reusable standards, patterns, and delivery playbooks. Qualifications - 8+ years of experience delivering Microsoft solutions, including Microsoft 365 migrations/modernizations. - Deep experience in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint Online architecture and solution delivery. - Strong Power Platform experience (Power Apps Canvas & model-driven, Power Automate, and Dataverse). - Hands-on pro-code development experience, such as React & TypeScript. - Experience integrating M365/Power Platform solutions with enterprise data sources and external systems. - Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance in consulting or product delivery. - Strong engineering fundamentals: code quality, testing, performance, security, and accessibility best practices. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain architecture and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Working knowledge of Copilot capabilities and/or AI-assisted delivery practices. Preferred Experience - Bachelor’s degree in software development or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. - Experience working within Power Platform governance standards and best practices. - Experience with general and object-oriented design patterns. - Microsoft Certifications such as M365 SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure. - Apply governance, security, and compliance best practices. - Use Git-based source control and implement ALM/DevOps practices. - Experience with Microsoft Graph, Entra ID (Azure AD), and modern authentication/authorization patterns. - Deep expertise in at least one platform area (e.g., SharePoint/SPFx or Power Platform). - Ability to identify potential new areas of work, including automation opportunities and modernization candidates.
