Role Description As Senior Director - Applications & Service Delivery, you will lead the teams responsible for delivering, supporting, and enhancing a portfolio of enterprise business applications and Salesforce-based solutions across MMA. This role is critical to ensuring MMA’s application ecosystem is secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned to business priorities. - Lead application delivery and support for one or more MMA business domains, with accountability for the performance, stability, and continuous improvement of Salesforce-based solutions, custom-built applications, SaaS platforms, and related integrations. - Provide strategic leadership for software engineering and application operations, ensuring teams deliver secure, scalable, high-quality solutions that align with MMA standards, business priorities, and long-term technology strategy. - Drive modernization and continuous improvement through strategic planning, roadmap development, and execution across application platforms, delivery practices, and supporting technologies. - Oversee end-to-end solution development and delivery, including technical direction, engineering practices, SDLC execution, quality oversight, and delivery performance across multiple teams and initiatives. - Ensure strong integration and interoperability across platforms, applications, APIs, and third-party solutions to support efficient business processes, reliable data flow, and speed to value. - Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams, including leaders, engineers, administrators, and contract resources, by fostering accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. - Partner closely with business, product, and technology leaders to strengthen alignment, shape priorities, and deliver measurable business value across Sales, Marketing & Communications, and other supported MMA domains. - Manage operational, financial, and vendor performance for the function, including budgets, external partners, service levels, and collaboration across the broader Applications & Service Delivery and Marsh Technology leadership teams. Qualifications - Significant experience leading software engineering, application development, and support teams at scale, including managers, individual contributors, and contract resources, with a strong focus on coaching, performance management, and organizational leadership. - 10+ years of experience leading technical teams and leaders across multiple platforms, products, and delivery initiatives in complex enterprise environments. - Strong Salesforce platform expertise, including configuration, customization, administration, custom development, integrations, and platform optimization. - Proven success leading enterprise application delivery across custom-built applications, SaaS platforms, and cloud-based solutions, with a focus on quality, resilience, and business value. - Deep experience with system integration and modernization, including APIs, third-party application interfacing, software migrations, and enabling seamless data flow across platforms. - Strong command of engineering and operational best practices, including coding standards, secure development, compliance, performance optimization, DevOps practices, and modern cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or similar platforms. - Experience managing vendors and external partners, including performance oversight, service expectations, and alignment with business and technology objectives. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead through complexity, influence stakeholders, translate technical concepts for business audiences, and manage multiple priorities effectively. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. - Advanced Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Application Architect, Development Lifecycle and Deployment, Platform Developer II). - IT Leadership experience in large-scale enterprise technology operations. - Experience supporting system integrations, data consolidation, and platform support during mergers and acquisitions. Role Description Lawfare has emerged as the indispensable online and podcasting resource for information and analysis on issues at the nexus of national security, law, and politics. Devoted to “Hard National Security Choices,” the site features incisive writing and analysis from experts on developing stories in the national security arena, including relevant legislation and judicial opinions. It is a digital publication that includes podcasts, book reviews, research tools, a daily news roundup, an events calendar, and exhaustive coverage of events other media touch only glancingly. Interns work alongside the editorial team at Lawfare to publish analysis from leading experts in government, academia, and policy. The internship program seeks to provide students with a pre-professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work experience related to their field of study or career interest. Interns engage in career exploration and development as well as learn new skills. Lawfare will pay the selected intern $18.40 per hour. Full time applicants (those who can commit to 35 - 40 hours per week during regular business hours roughly 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. ET) are preferred. Part-time candidates—who can also work during regular business hours—will be considered. Please indicate in your cover letter whether you are applying for a full-time or part-time position. The Fall 2026 internship at Lawfare will run from September 8, 2026 to January 8, 2027, though start and end dates are flexible.
