As the Deputy Commissioner’s primary administrative partner, you will play a critical role in supporting division leadership and advancing the work of a division responsible for monitoring the financial condition and market activities of insurance companies and other regulated entities operating in Washington. Qualifications Required Qualifications: - High school Diploma or Equivalent AND - Four years* of progressively responsible clerical, office or administrative experience working within a project, program, or operational environment. Administrative support experience includes performing duties that extend beyond basic office or clerical tasks. Such responsibilities include interpreting laws, rules, and regulations; collecting and analyzing administrative data; coordinating and scheduling meetings with multiple attendees; and evaluating various projects, processes, and operations to ensure effectiveness and compliance. - OR One year as an Administrative Assistant 3 - OR two years as an Administrative Assistant 2 AND - One (1) year of experience in a lead, supervisory, mentoring, or training capacity, including assigning, checking, or supporting the work of others. - Intermediate skill level in the Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint). - Basic skills with Adobe Acrobat DC. - Ability to accurately type at least 40 words per minute. *A degree in public administration, business administration or related field from an accredited institution whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council of Higher Education Accreditation, or a foreign equivalent may be substituted for relevant experience.
