Responsibilities - Assist AARP state offices in creating engaging, branded content for social media platforms, including graphics, videos, and posts. - Create brand-aligned graphic content to support internal communications, including presentation decks, one-pagers, and other collateral items. - Support state office website updates and help maintain a consistent and user-friendly experience. - Contribute to state office advocacy and community engagement campaigns by designing templates, writing content, and collecting results for analysis. - Help produce and edit digital videos for promotional and informational use. - Collaborate with team members to brainstorm new ideas and ensure content aligns with brand guidelines. - Perform other tasks as needed to support SCE communication efforts. Qualifications - Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university as rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or postdoctoral students, and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship. - Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva). - Experience in creating and publishing social media content for Facebook and X, and familiarity with social media publishing platforms (e.g., Sprinklr). - Understanding of website management tools (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager) is a plus. - Experience with video editing software (e.g., iMovie, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) preferred. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - A creative mindset with attention to detail. - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. - A strong customer/client-service approach to supporting staff. - AARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position at this time.
