Qualifications - Must-Have: - 3+ years of full-time experience in legal operations or legal technology at an AmLaw 100 firm, Fortune 500 in-house legal department, or major legal-tech vendor. - Background in legal operations, process improvement, and legal-spend management. - Experience with e-discovery and review workflows. - Knowledge of contract lifecycle management and matter management. - Familiarity with legal intake, knowledge management, and enterprise-wide legal program design. - Day-to-day use of Relativity, Icertis, HotDocs / Contract Express, and Clio / MyCase. - Strong analytical thinking and writing skills. - Preferred: - CLOC / ACC Legal Ops involvement. • Handle moderately complex and moderately high exposure litigation • Analyze intricate substantive and procedural legal and factual issues, conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research, independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of a variety of clients • Prepare pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motions and briefs in support of defense strategies with minimal supervision because of level of experience and expertise • Provide effective and timely communications, information, legal advice and other services to clients and claims partners on legal and factual issues in a technology driven environment • Communicate respectfully with the Court, clients, claims partners, witnesses, opposing counsel and co-counsel in a manner consistent with established office procedures and professional standards. • Provide for the prompt, efficient, and effective disposition of assigned cases • Independently prepare and present witnesses and evidence at trials, judicial and administrative hearings and alternative dispute resolutions • Provide opinions to Managing Attorney, Assistant Managing Attorney, staff, clients and claims customers. Attend continuing legal education seminars to maintain high level of professional expertise.
