Qualifications - J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing. - 15+ years of related professional legal experience, with substantial experience in high-growth technology companies. - Strong executive presence with proficiency in distilling complex legal concepts into actionable takeaways for non-legal business leaders. - Deep SaaS commercial expertise: subscription agreements, data processing addenda, API and partner agreements, and enterprise deal structuring. - Fluency in AI/ML product legal issues: data licensing, algorithmic accountability, privacy (GDPR, CCPA, and emerging US frameworks), and automated decision-making regulations. - Corporate governance experience, including Board Secretary or equivalent. - Genuine curiosity about legal technology and AI, with a first-hand point of view about how these tools are changing in-house legal work.
